4. Learned the hard way: always have a lock you can place on your carry on just in case once on the place your are demanded (not requested) to surrender your bag to be stowed elsewhere. Lock it before surrendering, no matter how they try rush you and stop you from protecting your gear. Trust me on this suggestion. Carry extra locks!

   And be sure the bag is distinguishable and well labeled.

   I also take current photos of my bags before a trip.

14. You pay a lot of money for your flight and then you are asked to pay extra for your choice of available seats. The cheap flights are not cheap at all. They expect you to fly without any luggage and pay extra for carry on luggage! One agent wanted me to pay extra for the lunch I had in a plastic bag! Another charged me double for the hand luggage that meets the specific requirements; saying “it is bigger!” I didn’t argue because I didn’t want to get kicked off the flight…I have a sick brother who looks forward to seeing me! Is it true that vacationers might be charged extra for carrying a camera on vacation? What Next .. you’ll have to pay to use the toilet. It’s becoming stressful to fly!

Through your channel I would like to say that the airlines make money from economy tickets and not from F/C or B/C, yet the economy class passengers are made to sacrifice the most. An airline can stay in business without F/C and B/C but not without E/Y. Regarding Baggage allowances all the airline should try to make an stricked and uniform rule for the convenience of passengers. Thats all, not begging to wine and dine on board.

    May I ask a question regarding instant coffee mix that comes in little pre packed tubes? These are pre made instant coffee, just add hot water and it’s done. Should they go in my carry on?

    It’s not ground coffee or coffee beans, so it doesn’t have that pungent smell. I wonder if it’s better to put it in my carry on?

20. In month of May visited to Canada faced this problem in Boston lady made me to pay $300 but from Canada a Black lady was very good allowed to take it without paying I was so happy and she was very nice lady she also told me what to do when I happened to fly.. Thank you lady.

22. Gate Checking is the way to go! First of all, it's free bag check. A handler takes it from you and puts it in last, by hand, and you don't have to deal with lugging it on and off the plane. Often, the gate agents ask for voluntary gate checks and sometimes offer perks like pre boarding to do it. This is also the way to go if you are traveling with a musical instrument. As long as your case is high quality, it doesn't have to be ATA-rated. I flu my guitars in cases by MONO

23. thinking about what happened in Japan recently – where people were safe during an emergency disembark – I am going to wear something with good pockets where I can keep wallet, passport, phone and book; my carry on will be able to be kept under my seat – with spare undies, a toothbrush and cream for face and hands.

24. Sizing bins are great for carry-ons, but the bigger problem is oversize people. People sizers should be installed at each gate. I envision two poles spaced 17.5 inches apart, the width of a standard economy seat. If you cannot walk between the poles, then you need to buy a second seat, or upgrade to first class.

25. This isn't just confusing. It's infuriating! I bought a $300 (Travelpro) airline recommend carry on for short trips. It doesn't fit in many bag sizers because airlines are making them smaller and they seem to vary from one airline to the next as well as one aircraft to the next. AND don't get me started on trying to fit it under the seat in front of me. Economy seats (enforced by many company expense policies) don't have enough room for my legs (I'm 6' 3") let alone with a bag at my feet !

26. 😢really have to object to your recommending to passengers that they hide a small bag under a jacket! First of all, that’s a security risk. Secondly, TSA ALWAYS asks you to remove jackets and sweaters in my experience
