17. On my September tour of Japan the weather was incredibly hot and I was glad for the street drink vending machines everywhere. I wish we could have those where I come from but they would be graffiti'ed and smashed open by street people and hoodlums.

26. They also have deer on Miyajima Island (famous for the Itsukushima shrine out in the water) off the coast of Hiroshima.
    They casually walk through large crowds of tourists like thy own the place.

27. I just came home from a 2 week trip to Japan.
    The local guide (Mika-san) my group had when we were in Kyoto and Osaka was from Nara.
    Oh, aand I am SO much going to miss those vending machines! The prices of the drinks were about half of what you would expect to pay for a ½L bottle here in Denmark. I fell in love with Calpis, and have found a web shop here in Denmark that sells the original Asahi concentrate syrup (470ml bottle). The price will be about double of that from a Japanese vending machine though.

29. Hey can i ask how did you learn to be fluent in Japanese? (Im assuming you are if not sorry for assuming!!) but the thing is i wanna go to japan for 2 years or even longer and i don’t know ANY Japanese. Can you tell me how you became fluent in Japanese?
